Tractor
Shopping for a tractor
I’m looking into purchasing this tractor with a 6ft finish mower. I’m trying to decide a fair offer and if I should pass on this tractor or not.

What I know about the tractor:
The hours are unknown but it runs AWESOME. The hour meter was replaced
The tires have good tread
One of the tie rods is slightlybent
The brakes work great

Intended use/plans:

Mowing 10acre pecan orchard
Hope to find a FRont end loader for us

What’s this tractor worth/what should I offer?
Will parts availability be ok?
.

I’d like to update this thread a year later

Parts are in fact easy to find for the most part.

It’s also been fairly reliable as well especially considering it’s age/hours.

Here a few pictures of it.

Also included one of the wife mowing with it and some gauges I changed on it.

I need to rewire it and fix the leaky injector pump soon.

Nice, new seat!

Thanks!

Next week I’m going to replace the radiator with a larger aluminum unit that should fit.

I’ll provide pics and details about it when I do it.

Well it wasn’t a direct swap like I hoped but I was able to get it installed all the same with some trimming of the factory mounting provisions and adding some brackets to offset the stress caused by said removal.

I also had to trim the shroud a bit and the hood fits worse than before but it’s never fit nicely so...

But now I have a radiator that doesn’t leak and has a larger core than stock.

I mow this weekend and we shall see if I did a worthwhile mod or not.

It would be interesting to know the manufacturer of the aftermarket power steering kit.

It’s marked Anadolu.

I think it’s this kit

I think you're correct on kit brand. I would definitely consider that kit if I had a JD utility tractor with manual steering. I wonder if that kit would operate on a JD utility tractor with faulty power steering? It's unfortunate that this aftermarket power steering kit can't be used on tractors with FEL.

That last sentence is why I’ll likely sell this tractor to help fund something with a loader.

I think maybe a select few loaders such as a model 36 that attach to tractor frt support & rear axles might fit your tractor. There are a few aftermarket FEL's that mount similarly to utility tractors.

So the radiator didn’t do the trick.

It was still running quite warm.

I found the culprit and replaced it!

Now it’s hard to to get it hot on a cool evening.

I’ll mow tomorrow in the 90s so we shall see.

Mowed for 6 hours today.

Temp stayed right at 170-180 despite it being 90 degrees and running at full pto rpm for a good cut.

I am guessing aftermarket temp gauge.
On my 2030 the temp gauge has no numbers. Typical is one to two needle widths to the left of straight up. Red zone is to far right.

Yes I bought the aftermarket gauge at Advance Auto Parts awhile back.
