Converting Top Link To Hydraulic

A couple zip ties to hold the hoses together would make it look very clean...

Vic, you had things stacked against you, but you got 'er done. Good job! Like KennyV says, I would take the outer hose loose at the quick connect and make a complete loop in it and then tie it to the other hose with a zip tie or one of those small bungees. I'm sure you will find something that will make the hoses a little neater. The length of hoses and the small size will make your toplink more rigid.

I guess im some kinda tractor nerd since im reading this thread on a Sunday morning. I just added a top link to my tractor yesterday I was having trouble getting stuck in the ditches while bush hogging my three point lift just couldnt get the bush hog off the ground high enough to get the tail wheel free of the mud. so now with the new hidraulic top link it raises almost 4 feet off the ground.

8404...thanks for the picks.

I hear what your saying.....just a fabulous addition to the TRACTOR. Moved some rock for the first time yesterday after getting the cylinder. I moved more rock in two hours than I could in a previous day.

Thanks to the guys here, I took their advice & got the remotes installed as part of the deal when I bought my dynamo. That made it cheap & simple to install.

The attached pic shows the biggest rock I took delivery of this summer......all 5400 Lbs of it......boy do I love BIG Rock !! :D

I just added one as well. I got mine from Dalton as well. Two 2'-3' 1/2" hoses and I was away. Into one of the rear remotes sets. That control valve can feather it nicely. Don't know how I have done without it. For hookups and adjustments while your working it is great. Was doing some grading this weekend - very handy with the rear blade.

Let me get this straight... I can't get rid of rocks fast enough and you're bringin' 'em in??LOL

BTW, my hydro top link from Carter & Carter just arrived....

If it weren't for rocks, the Adirondacks would be in a very deep valley!

If you'd like to take a road trip, I'll make sure you leave with a lifetime supply... Free!! LOL

Hi guys, I am considering installing a hydraulic top link on my new JD 2320, and have followed this thread with great interest. I am puzzled ,however, by the fact that two distinct styles of cylinder seem to be used. The cylinders pictured in post #35 by 8404 and post #29 by kozak show the hydraulic lines going directly into the cylinders. On the other hand the cylinder used by jinman in post#12 and the cylinders referred to in post #22 by kennyd show cylinders with DPOCV's.
Are there adfvantages to one or the other system?

Cheers Bob

PS first post....but this is an amazing forum....lots of great advice and helpful suggestions.
