I just remembered a really creepy one. Way back when in the 1990s I was working at a place that was near where at least one victim of the Green River Killer was found. I used to go eat lunch at the edge of a wooded area that was quite close to where a body was found. One day I walking around and found a sleeping bag stashed back in the bushes. The sleeping bag looked at first like it had someone sleeping in it. Since at the time the killer was still active and I was near where another body was found I got a really creepy feeling. I gingerly poked the bag with my foot, hit something between hard and soft and said something like "Hey! Are you alright?". Getting no response I poked at the bag again in a different spot and my foot hit something soft. So I grabbed a stick, opened up the bag, and to my relief there were just clothes and a small piece of old luggage. Like an overnight case for a young woman. I figured the stuff belonged to a runaway or something.
I went back to my car to finish my lunch and a cop rolled up. He was curious about me being there and I told him I ate lunch there often, almost every day. We spoke a bit more and I told him I got quite a scare from a sleeping bag that looked like some runaway left back in the bushes. The cop got REALLY interested for the same reason I was creeped out. So I showed him the sleeping bag. He looked through it way more thoroughly than I did. But then I felt like I was invading some kid's privacy and he was looking for foul play evidence. In fact, he was looking for evidence so hard he checked out the inside of my car through the windows as well as he could, looked at my ID, called it in, and asked me to wait while he waited to see what came up. Even though e asked I didn't feel like I could refuse easily. That was creepy. Glad it wasn't on my property.
