I have a coolant leak on my TC33D. I attached a picture so you can identify where the leak is. It is on the right side of the engine just to the right of my oil filter. I need to know if this plug has threads or is pressed into the engine block? It is in line with the freeze plugs. Can this plug be tighten or should I just use some stop leak?
Thanks,
sherpa

Based on its shape, hex, I'd guess it has threads. The picture at Messicks shows threads on it. $32.60.

It is a common problem. The hose connector is made from zinc and will react with iron. I replaced mine when the tractor was nearly new with brass and it has yet to leak after these years. Pictures will follow very soon.

Here is what it looks like and the tool to get it out with. I milled a slot into a heavy impact socket to get it out in one piece. You can just cut the bib part off and use a 1-1/16 deep 6 point socket too.

Thanks so much for this info!
I will order my parts and get them here before I cut the barb off.
