When i burned corn, I used a rain gutter mesh that worked pretty good, fastened with scrap pieces of plywood. You can use a size just small enough that typical kernal will not go through, but change angle for if to many kernals come through, or less angle if not enough foreign material not getting out. I had a plastic barrel that I would do at a time.
If corn was not so high, I would probably burn corn again. 4 years ago I could heat my house with 150 bushel at 1.60, and a tank of propane just less then 300.00. Now corn at 5.60 and propane 500.00 a tank.
