Oh, OK.

This is not the flu. The administration from the top down is addressing it as to what it is. A new contagion that has created a global pandemic.

Look beyond your political views.

Perhaps you meant, 'A new illness that has created a global panic'?

What's regular flu got to do with this?

Quite a bit - the symptoms start about the same. Many people, especially the younger, can sluff it off easily yet still be contagious. Thus there can be a large cohort of carriers spreading it around to the unsuspecting old people like many of us.

I agree Newbury, biggest challenge seems to be knowing what you have, and does having a "regular" flu make you any
more likely to be more susceptible to Covid if you are exposed. Your immunity is already down fighting the regular flu.

in Walmart folks sort of moved off to the side of each other, like moving over for a big truck coming at you. That's good,
showing an understanding of the six foot or whatever you choose radius. Was like opposite pole magnets pushing each other away.
Pollen has been so heavy here lately hard not to sneeze at times, and then folks look at you like you are Typhoid Mary.

RS, thanks, troubling article, makes one wonder what did I just walk through?
They weren't very specific how long it can stay airborne, lot of variables I suppose

makes a good case for wearing a mask in public if you are going into buildings with other people in it.
Not good info out there what kind of mask one should wear. Can anyone confirm that? I read somewhere N95 was the
minimum but think that was heresay. Would a paint respirator be the minimum?

I also wonder if our eyelashes are adequate to keep this airborne junk out of our eyes. Probably not.

one thing this virus has done is jack up my email volume. Between family and extended family checking on each other,
plus we are literally getting bombarded from everywhere with we are here to help messages from all kinds of organizations.
And then you get all the cancellation/postponement emails. Just a lot of volume to wade through, plus many of us are spending more time
inside at a computer than we normally do. Of course I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit, at least 50. Old bones like the heat.
Then off to plant flowers and complete forget about all of this. Life goes on.

See, I always do that simply because I don't like people, so I strive to stay clear of them.

That's why I've been hacking and coughing for years. My sinuses are shot. And yeah, a lot of mine is a dry cough. But at the last couple of checkups before all this started, the Docs said I could breath fine. I can't, so I don't know if they know what they think they know or not.

Kyle commented on this (the hang time of aerosols) recently in one of the CV threads. He may have some experience or familiarity with testing done on it (not CV specifically, just aerosols generally)

Had to give him the

No idea.

Stay home and quit going out if at all possible.
