Most of the trail cam photos we have here are night photos so I guess they sleep during the day. Pretty much the same for wolves around here...I've seen one or two in daylight but have seen a lot when heading out to the woods before sunrise.Most humans will NEVER see a cougar/mountain lion with their own eyes. These cats are very elusive and have an instinctual fear of humans. So they walk among our homes/ranches/farms but we will probably never see one. With the recent popularity of game cams, we now capture them and see them but they were always there. A cat will be watching you and you will never know it. If you have a dog with you, it can alert you of its presence due to the smell of the cat.
