Cougar

Most humans will NEVER see a cougar/mountain lion with their own eyes. These cats are very elusive and have an instinctual fear of humans. So they walk among our homes/ranches/farms but we will probably never see one. With the recent popularity of game cams, we now capture them and see them but they were always there. A cat will be watching you and you will never know it. If you have a dog with you, it can alert you of its presence due to the smell of the cat.

Most of the trail cam photos we have here are night photos so I guess they sleep during the day. Pretty much the same for wolves around here...I've seen one or two in daylight but have seen a lot when heading out to the woods before sunrise.

When I was young,2 or 3 years ago while putting hay in the barns we'd always end up with a snake or two on the trucks and wagons. My dad had white face cows and they were agressive toward snakes. As soon as one come off the wagon or out of one of the bales the cows would chase, find and stomp the snake to death. We often wondered if the cows come around for the fresh hay or to chase snakes.
