That song is definately a standard/classic,20 to 30 years from now it will be rated as one of the top country songs of all time. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Stands right up there with Charlie Rich 'Behind Closed Doors" Johny Cash etc etc......

But hey the guy made some money by recording it and marketing it and there are people who bought it.

I guess the fella who thought he had the "perfect Country & Western song" because it mentioned trains, trucks, mama, jail and getting drunk, didn't know about tractors?

I think John Deere Green was done by Joe Diffie.

The song you are thinking about is "My Town" by M.G.

There is another song by the Judds that mentions a John Deere tractor.

I wonder why the country singers don't sing about Kubota or Yanmar? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I looked it up and it is John Deere Tractor by the Judds,

Hmmm. I dont think I have ever heard that judds song. I need to look through some Cd's to see if I can find that one. Andy gets the Bonus pints it was indeed Joe Diffee. I think I have the his older CD's. Man he sure faded fast. Dave

Not sure if they ever sang about tractors but there is a group called the Tractors /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
