CT225 will crank, won稚 start

600 hours is the recommended interval to check valve adjustments on my CT335, and I imagine the CT225 is probably the same. Have the valve clearances been checked yet in this process?

GJohnson: Haven't seen any new up dates on your tractor. I read your all the posts on it. I went through almost the same thing. I bought a CT335 with cab off Ebay at auction. (I had not looked at it) . I don't know how but when I picked it up they did have it running. But I could tell something wasn't right. Got it home and would not start. The only way I could get it started was spray a little wd40 in it. I went through all the hoops you did about cleaning the tank, checking fuel filter, shut off valve , solenoid stop valve. After messing with it for over a month I decided things had to come apart. First of all this tractor had only 3323 hours (2012) It had a back hoe on it and I checked the oil filter and trans filter and the numbers written on them indicated that oil filter was changed in 2013 with 320 hours. So that meant that it had only about 7 hours on it since 2013. I also found a old ad on the net where another dealer had it. So all that told me that it had a problem for a long time. I called Columbus Bobcat and they could offer no suggestions as they had never worked on one. Went to a Kioti dealer and they acted like I had the cova virus. So that left me with one option, tackle it myself. I narrowed it down to compression, injector problems or pump. No one that I knew of had a compression tester for diesel. So I bought one from HF. This one has AC on it so a lot of things had to be tore off. Ran compression test. 400 lbs. Took injector to a diesel repair shop. They tested ok. Their advice that there must be something wrong with the pump. I wasn't crazy about getting into the pump but that my only solution. Took the pump in and they tested it and said it was bad. Said they could rebuild it. Took time to order parts as Bobcat or Kioti coulsn't get the parts. They spent a couple days working on it and every time they got it together and put it on the test machine, it tested bad. Finally they (showed me) found out that when the pump was made the threads on one cyl. was not cut deep enough and would not all the plunger to make full travel and pressure. Said it never run right when new. After about $500. and a lot of knuckle busting I have a nice tractor. Love it. Needed a grill for it as it was bent up pretty good. Not available through Bobcat. Went to Kioti dealer and they wouldn't even look it up, said go to Bobcat. Michigan Iron came through and sent me the Kioti # and I ordered it. Hang in there and keep us posted on results.

I am sorry for not posting about this tractor. Very busy time of year, work wise. So after having gone through bobcat, learning I had low compression, among other tests to components, I took it to my local guy. He tore into it and found all three pistons to be burnt. In looking at them, they are burnt all in the same place. Just where the injectors would spray. It is my belief that someone either filled it with gasoline or used ether on it. Glow plugs work fine so I lean toward the gas. No scarring on block, took head to machine shop, no issues but reworked the seats, etc. So, here is where I am now...it will be four months through bobcat to get three pistons, rods, pins, etc. I would like to ask if anyone knows of a supply where parts are available here in the states? Kioti will not help, daedong North America references me right back to bobcat. I would sure like to wrap this up as it has been ongoing for months. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Hey there... just looking to see if anyone might have any ideas on supply. Hoping not to wait for months for these...

The previous poster mentioned Michigan Iron (a site sponsor and Kioti dealer). Maybe he can help?

Hello, all. Well, the little ct225 is finally running. I have had it back about a month now and put some solid hours on it. I have to say, I am very impressed. Never had a compact or a HST before, except a lawnmower...really easy to use. Hydraulics are quick and strong, pushed over a half dozen 6” trees and dig them up no problem. YoPan hollies are wild on my place so this should be a lot of fun. Anyway... after getting the necessary parts to the US, they sat in port for weeks. That was aggravating. But they did have exactly what we ordered plus some flat gasket that we didn’t order. Got it all put together and purring like a kitten. I appreciate all who gave advise and pointed me in the right direction. Happy with it for now. Sprayed about 150 acres pulling a 500 gallon sprayer, up hill, down hill sideways, even through some muddy bottom land...no problems. Thanks again, all!

Good to hear your up and going. What company sourced your parts?

Winston, I was really limited to bobcat. North texas guys, the store south of Dallas Was closest to me. He (My local guy) did an excellent job of putting it back together very thorough. Changed every fluid, every filter, greased it up real good, heck he even built me a battery hold down. Wasn’t cheap...but it is right. He has my 1086 now for a fuel issue. Trustworthy guy.
