Cub Cadet LTX 1040 not getting fire

I was mowing the other day and shut it off to move something, when I got back on it wouldn't start. It turned over (seemed like really fast) but would start but it backfired a couple of times. I checked to see if it was getting fire and it wasn't. I replaced the coil and still have no fire. Any suggestions?
