Cub Cadet Yanmar SC2400 Help

Hello all, first post here however I've been getting great information from these forums for years. I've come for help today, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I recently bought a Cub Cadet Yanmar SC2400 in great condition with low hours, well taken care of by an older gentleman. Everything worked as it should when I bought it. The problem is when I initially bought it, the implement control for the 3 point hitch worked as it should. In the winter when I was plowing snow, I used the hydraulic control valve to "lock" the ballast I was using up on the 3 point as the manual says to do. Now the weight is off and I opened the valve the whole way open to allow the 3 point to drop fast however it is not dropping fast as when I bought it, it is now very slow to go down. So, it still works but is very slow to lower. What could be wrong? I downloaded the technical service manual and see that there is some type of port at the back possibly a hex plug that can be removed, is there anything serviceable by removing that? I'm approaching mower season and don't want to take forever to raise and lower my mower. I attached the picture of the valve where the flow control knob is located, I'm certain many others have this. Any help is appreciated

Are you sure the hydraulic flow control knob is turning the shaft?
Or is the knob stripped and not turning the shaft?

I am still able to tighten it to "close" it and it will prevent any movement. I'm assuming it's not stripped.

So yesterday I was able to look further into this. Seems that I was able to a little more out of the valve by turning it further than I really thought I should have or should have to. It now appears that the lowering time is comparable to when I first bought it. Still though, it doesn't seem like you should have to force it to open completely.

Good to see that you have resolution to this problem. I have the SC2450 model. I have not experienced this problem but will keep this in mind if I do see it on mine.

Like most things that don’t get used for long periods.
They just lock up or slow their range of motion.
Ask anyone over 60

I see this is an older post, but... I have had a similar problem where the 3pt is slow to go up and down. At least in my case it seems to be related to the flow control valve. I resolved the issue by loosening the shaft guide (and then tightening it again). This problem started happening again this winter and I resolved it again the same way. My guess is some contamination is causing it because I have the flow control valve partially closed so my snowblower doesn't slam to the ground. Replacing trans fluid and filter didn't fix it the first time though.
