Don't know as we go that far I we know we are close will will get things done and get tractor home and change it keep the oil out of the field. We just got done with overhaul on our 4020 and had some pump trouble put the rebuilt pump in from scheid's diesel and the green machine is back and running. My dad and I baled close to 1500 rounds this year 1100 with the new 569 and the others with his 568 it seemed like rain was never going to stop but when the clouds cleared it was on. Not to mention we made close to 2500-3000 squares with his jd336 square baler

About the only problem we have ever had is with the long rods just above the pick-up don't try to straightn them. I put them in a vise and tried to work the bend out of them but they just get in a elastic state as it seems. Less of a headache to replace them the big problem when the rods get bent I it will try to wrap the incoming roller and can make life miserable

Only reason we even got that much done is I moved back home. Going thru a divorce and helping my dad run the custom baling business. Just glad she will never benefit from it my dad worked for deere for 28 yrs. and I went to school and received my degree in ah mech. The money in some places is no that great I since have been employed for caterpillar for 10 yrs and in the maintenance program. It has been a rough two years but getting close to being done with school an have picked up several new skills

The only real trouble we had is the drive shaft on his new baler some how I twisted it in two. Looked like it is a two piece shaft not real sure where it broke looked like weld broke I was floored the baler only had couple hundred bales on it. We was both floored luckily dealer still had his old baler and we was able to use that drive shaft until his new one came in.

Sounds good. My dad is the only reason we do so good. He is a crack mechanic an has taken a many pieces of equipment that was left for dead run like new again. He completly rebuilt my grandads ford 8700 an ford 7000 right in our barn. Never had an ounce of help. Everything from right out of his own ticker. If I can learn just half of what he forgets I'll do good.

Nice. I love the 40 series tractors. We had a 2940 an sold it. His newest project is a diesel 3010.
