IF the cat is on the tractor, you shouldn't have any mouse nesting/chewing problems. I'll take the paw prints over mice nests under the hood anyday.

Supposedly, cats hate the smell of vinegar. Try putting some on a rag and set on floor mat. See what happens.
Hopefully, some of these suggestions will work and the 'bowl of antifreeze' is a joke. Anyone who has seen an animal die from antifreeze poisoning wont soon forget it.
