Well the weather is Breaking hear in Massachusetts. It is unclearer what the rain season will be like. I am continuing with my pool project from last fall. We have formed up the patio around the pool and I am digging the sauna tube holes this weekend. Sunday we are going to open the pool to check for any leaks in the system. The plan is to pore cement on Tuesday weather permitting. I have all my permits pulled for my deck and patio. The deck is going to be 16 X 52 feet with a pergola of the same dimensions. The cement Patio I contracted out, The deck & pergola I will build myself. I have only so much time in a day so I can not do everything myself and have time to enjoy my summer too. My Koi pond is on the back burner till the rains all stop and the ground drys out completely. That project is all hand work now anyway. I will post pictures this weekend

Hey Charlie, keep us updated on the deck project, also a few pics would be great!

I am out working on the electrical boxes I ran over this winter with the snowblower (before the wife sees them). I knew I was getting close to them then all of a sudden it was too late! Bit early to open that pool though! My wife has me pushed off until the middle of May now. Use to always have it opened by mid April then it say until the end of May.

Yea I am only opening it this early to make sure the system isn't sucking any air into the lines. I hope there is no leaks but best to be sure before I put cement down on top of everything and have to dig it all back up

OK hear are some Pictures so far today. I have to drill my holes for my sauna tubes. The 1st step is to triangulate the corner of the deck

I set up batons to mark the corners and to set my lines on to mark my holes

Well they were suppose to pore on Tuesday but I am not sure if thats going to happen. It is raining now till Thursday so I don't think it will happen. Thats fine though. I was experimenting with the video on my camera. I have it figured out now but as you can see these 1st 2 didn't work that well. My next video's will be much better

Well they pored the cement today. I took a trip home this morning to make sure everything looked the way I wanted it to look before they actually started poring the cement.

The pool house has a 6 inch poor. I wanted the floor to come up for landscaping because of the trees there and the Koi pond.

These are the sauna tubes for the deck all set with 12 inch J bolts

The dogs have been cooped up in the house all day looking out the slider

That's great news!!!

There's just something about being able to walk around and not get dirty!!!

Since you mentioned the Koi pond, have you had a chance to do anything on it this year?

The Koi pond is still a waiting game. I keep pumping it out but the water table it still to high. I am holding off on that for a couple of months till it is a lot dryer. The good thing is I can trickle in some more features by the wife if you know what I mean. The Deck is going to be pretty elaborate and will take a bit of time to build. I also have to start the landscaping too if I want to get any of the growing season. I have some rather extensive soil redistribution to take care of

It sounds like allot of work, and of course, that's what makes it that much more fun to follow along!!!!
