Prices have returned to normal in my area since I first made this post and are even lower.

It's funny how that works. A week and a half after things get back to normal the prices are gradually coming back down close to where they were. But within hours of the shutdown, prices jumped 80 cents in one leap.

I think what many of us don't understand is that the stuff in the ground was bought to sell at $2.00. Why don't they sell that out at $2.00, then charge more for the stuff they refill the underground tank with at $2.80? It's because they are price gouging ba$^%$#s, that's why. :laughing:

I agree, there is free market but I've seen the price of gas go up so many times at the drop of a hat, it now looks like they just look for excuses to raise the price.

I refuse to allow knowledge to be replaced with misinformation and the 'torches and pitch fork' mentality so adored by Internet experts and Internet bullies who should find and read a book about manners.

I don't own any torches or a pitch fork, but would fuel prices go down if I did? I've got a long reading list already, don't want to add to it and lets face it, its fun to hate the fuel companies every time the price goes up.

No one is suggesting that books don't contain knowledge, but now a days you can get support for the opposite point of a issue for just about any topic known to man. So for example if I work for a certain line of business (or my relatives do, or I am an investor in that ethically challenged business , then one tends to find books and "knowledge" that supports that ones bias.

Suggesting that everyone else just doesn't understand the business, unless they read one particular "knowledge bias" ............in itself is a internet bully type approach.

and implying that the Oil and gas refining companies are doing no wrong in these low oil resource price times is essentially closing ones eyes to the obvious. I tend to keep reading information from both sides of the equation and make up my mind from there .
