It tells you a lot about a persons true character when they think it's too much to ask of them to get vaccinated to protect others. Obviously they haven't had a family member die alone in an ICU from Covid.

The issue of not getting vaccinated is deeper than that. Character has little to do with it from my observations. I have very close friends that are on the fence concerning getting vaccinated for various reasons.

I knew people who died from covid. Blaming someone else for their death isn't going to bring them back or make it easier to deal with. It makes it harder to get through.

Well, 24 hours since my second Moderna shot and I think I'm feeling better. About 4 hours into it my achy joints were getting sore. Then, I started to feel like I was in a fog and my wife was pestering me so I went to bed. That was my cranky time. About 12 hours into it I had the chills and I couldn't get warm in bed. At about 3 am I was really hot and I felt like I could heat the house from my body heat. At 4 am I cooled off enough to lay on top of the covers and sleep some. I'm back to just the foggy feeling and my joints feel way better. It was not as bad as the flu but it was just weird. I would do it again because I don't want to spend time in the ICU or have Longhaulers from covid.

Our friends in Sheridan WY both got covid this winter. Now they are both vaccinated.

As I've mentioned my idiot brother in law infected our entire family. He knew he was sick, showed up anyway, removed his mask multiple times, and two hours later announced he's had a fever for the past 2 days, "but it's not COVID, it's the same thing I had last year" were his exact words. He almost killed his mom. So lets give him a pass on that one. OK. Months later he's boasting on facebook that he's not gonna ever get the vaccine. So who knows how many other people he's gonna put at risk in the future. He's a selfish idiot with ZERO concern about his family or fellow man. Does it say something about my character? Yep. Loud and clear. It also says something about his character. Loud and clear. Selfish with no concern for his fellow man. And, unfortunately, that's the way most people are coming across that take the same stance as him.

He has no valid reason not to get vaccinated. And he has no valid excuse for going out to bars and restaurants and putting other people at risk. 571,000 dead in the U.S. from COVID and climbing.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A Sioux Falls man has undergone a double lung transplant after suffering complications from COVID-19.
The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reported Friday that 42-year-old Nathan Foote suffered severe pneumonia after contracting the disease in October. He suffered severe scarring in his lungs. Doctors said he get a double transplant or die in hospice care.

He was placed on the transplant list in February at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. He was offered two potential matches but both fell through because of changes in the donors' health.
He finally underwent the procedure April 10. The surgery lasted eight hours. A few days later he took his first breath on his own in six months.

Foote says he’s still in pain and he’s still eating through a feeding tube. He’s also trying to teach himself how to walk again.
“I didn't think I'd ever make it this far,” he said. “I did my part even when they told me I was going to die, because I didn't believe that.”

This is my home state. Lots of people there, even some of my family, said covid wasn't a big deal.
