Did the Covid shot make you cranky?

Speaking only for myself.. I didn't want covid, didn't want to spread it to others or be incubating new versions of it. It kills indiscriminately. Nuff said.

The main reason I got vaccinated was so I wouldn't give it to anyone else, especially my mother in-law, as we spend a couple evenings/days a week with her. In my job, I am exposed to hundreds of people in close proximity every day. I'd not want to infect any of them either. But mostly my mother in-law and others in my family.

Does this reason expire when everyone that wants to be vaccinated is vaccinated? Would your main reasoning for your vaccination then then shift for protection of the people who refuse to get vaccinated. This will happen in about a month or so.

Moss I am not around people much . . . We got the shots . . . it only takes one contact to get infected.

There are plenty of healthy people with no underlying health conditions that have died from COVID.

Also, that neglects to address that healthy people still catch it and spread it.

That’s an interesting prospect. I can see that shift coming in a few months after everyone has had the opportunity to get vaccinated. “Hey buddy, you had your chance.” Sort of like the folks that refuse to wear a seatbelt.

It's probably already there. We have plenty of vaccines and openings. Anyone that wanted a vaccine has the availability to get it now, around here, at least. Most exceptions are shut-ins, people without transportation, people without computer/phone access to make appointments, people like that. Local groups are seeking those kinds of folks out to either get them to the vaccine or get the vaccine to them.

I'll keep getting vaccinated for it (and the flu) as often as my doctor recommends it for the reasons I've stated before. I don't want to get it, and I don't wand to give it to anyone else. If I can do my part to prevent that, I will.

Yep. And good for you.

My wife and kids work from home. No contact. All it took was 1 person at 1 gathering to turn off a loved one's pacemaker and POW!

Had that 1 person just told us he was sick, we could have made special arrangements for him to say goodbye to his father yet still stay out of the room with everyone else.

Lessons learned. I hope it's food for thought for others.
