If you are healthy to begin with, covid is not a big deal.
Now THAT's funny! Unfortunately, there's also a grain of truth to it.Got my last moderna shot yesterday and had a modestly sore arm and worked all day. Was so tired last night I fell asleep while watching my nephews concert that was being streamed. Woke up this morning after 11 hours of sleep. Of course I was woke up by a certain sore arm many times. Its been a long, long time since the last time I slept that long. I don't feel to bad this morning. Dearest says she'll make me chicken soup with stars in it.![]()
That reminds me of a story my uncle told. There was a flood, and officials were evacuating the city. One man refused to go, because he knew that God would protect him. The water rose, the fire department was evacuating with boats and stopped and asked him to leave. "No" he said. "God will look out for me." The water rose and he retreated to the second floor. Again the FD stopped with their boat, begging him to leave. His answer was the same.I'll just go with God. The rest of you can worry about the plague.
Psalm 91:10

brutal...I have to admit I am not a nice man. It won't be long until the only ones dying will be anti-vaxxers. I see that as an improvement to society. What did Mark Twain say? "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it."
You don't understand. That reminds me of a story my uncle told. There was a flood, and officials were evacuating the city. One man refused to go, because he knew that God would protect him. As the water rose he retreated to the roof. A helicopter flew in, and tried to rescue him. "No" he said. "The Lord will look after me."
He drowned. At the Pearly Gates he met God and asked "What happened? I placed myself in your care and you let me down."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I LET YOU DOWN!?!" "I sent two boats and a helicopter!!!"
It's the same with doctors and other professionals who know more about things than I do.
Ah, but I do. We could get into a theological debate but this isn't the place for it.You don't understand.
