My BX22 pulled up this rock without even batting an eye. This rock was actually quite impressive in size, but the photo didn't seem to do it justice. I love my kubota!!!

Something in that picture looks really wrong....................... the 'bota is too clean! :) Do you have the 12" or 10" bucket? That is a nice size stone...

Isn't it funny how our mind's eye plays tricks on us and makes that rock grow and shrink while we're not lookin'.

My personal theory is that while we're digging it up we're a thinkin' how many shovelfuls of dirt, how many gunts and heaves with our back to the pick it would take to get that rock outa there and contributiong some usefulness, say as a member of that rock wall in the background. That rock just grows and grows in size while thats happening.

Then the task is done, and the Kubota's sittin' there clutching that rock, all proud and beaming for picture takin'. But while you went to get the camera that rock shrunk back down to the manageable size it is since the Kubota's around to keep it honest.

Anyway, that's my theory, and I'm a sticking to it.

BTW, If that wall in the background was built by hand, how many hours you figure it took to make them rocks useful.

I say let's all take a moment and tip our hat to our forefathers who figured out shaft hard chroming and developed high pressure hydraulic systems.*G*

Take care and have fun with you new equalizer.
Sincerely,
Dave Perry aka karmakanic

Seems the tiller on my BX does a nice job of finding rocks that size.

No, no... really..... that was a BOULDER, fer sure, when it came out of the ground!! Boulder, gravel, does it really matter?? Ha ha. It was humongous. You shoulda seen the fish I caught today...

If your boulders shrink like that when they are exposed to air. Then I'm goona have to dig up my whole property and expose it all to air. At least there would be some good seat time.

In response to your question, the bucket is 10".

Not to be nosy, but what does a rig like that go for?
I sure would like to have one like that.

Westbilly,
I understand that there is quite a range in price for the BX22, depending on what region you are in. It seems that you could find one from about $15,500 to $17,000. I think I paid somewhere in the high end of "normal". I have the FEL, BH, rake with gauge wheel, and a bucket hook and block heater for $16,900 in the northeast. Oh, and I was wrong in my other post, I don't have a 10" bucket, I have the 12" bucket... I had a momentary brain cramp.

Don't feel bad, I have seen the same prices around were I am!

In NE OHio I was quoted 18000 for BX22 with the 60" MMM. It looks like they have only sold 3 in the past 3 months.

I also live in northeastern Ohio and have a price of
$ 15,500 plus tax=$16,100
This would make ur 60"MMM cost of $ 1,900
is this correct ??

Doug,
Would you mind sharing the name of the dealer who quoted you that price? I live in NE Ohio also. Feel free to send it privately if you prefer to fordff@aol.com.
Thanks,
Frank

I did not get separate prices. Although I think he said the 60" MMM was over 2000.00

The dealer whom I purchased my BX2200 quoted me $14,500 on the BX22 without MMM.
I think the 60" MMM goes for somewhere around $1000

Just picked one of these up in Jersey. Cost was $15800 for the tractor plus $1700 for the 60" MMM.
