Why the strap over the cylinder?

Could use one for my bh92.

I finished up mine a few weeks ago.
It works 菟retty well? Larger wheels need to be installed as it is a bit tough rolling it around. As is, it is 100% better than not having one.

That looks good. Mine has to small wheels. It makes it hard to roll around if it hits the smallest item.

Same with mine from bxpanded.com. Fortunately, I store my backhoe in my garage which has a concrete floor, so all I need to do is sweep it clean before I roll it out into position to reattach it to the tractor in the spring. Which reminds me. I should probably do that this weekend.

Mine is on concrete floor also but I need to do what you are doing. I need to sweep it out before rolling it around.
I do welding projects in the front of the shop and need to clean up better when I roll it out.
I did this quick wood project but I still think one day maybe in the winter I will make a steel one.

Because I'll need to store both my CB05 backhoe and the D100 loader all winter (to make room for the front-mount snowblower and 3-point ballast box..), I got busy over the past week building dollies for both attachments. My tractor shed has a gravel floor, so only pneumatic casters will work. This meant some design considerations to accommodate the height of the casters.

The photo album at this link Attachment Dolly Build (click image for slideshow) - Google Photos reviews the build process (click the first image to start the slideshow with captions..) if interested.

Here's an image of the final results. Still not really put to the test yet, although the backhoe dolly fits nicely.. I'll need a day when I don't need to actually use the loader and backhoe to get some real testing accomplished. More results to report then. Either way, the attachments will be sitting on these over the winter.

Happy tractoring!

They look really nice! How much are you selling a pair for?

These all look great. Can I ask though, anybody buy a bxpanded dolly for the GC1710/20? Does it work for our backhoe like it does for kubota...1-2, drops right into the dolly when you retract the boom, no outriggers necessary? The fella I bought my tractor from fabbed a dolly that looks like the bxpanded, but it doesn't function like it. Still need the outriggers to raise it up and plop it down on the dolly.

I needed a dolly for my BH77 backhoe and this is what I came up with:

I made a video of the build for anyone interested:

I made one of these in the spring as well. Absolute life saver when just trying to store and move stuff around in limited space. I used wood but would love to revisit this with metal at some point. Like others I used the largest capacity harbor freight wheels I could locate.IMG_20190608_125412.jpgIMG_20190608_201544.jpgIMG_20190609_114550.jpgIMG_20190609_114557.jpgIMG_20190609_115128.jpgIMG_20190609_114544.jpg

So it's time to put these dollies to work storing the backhoe and loader for the winter. I used pneumatic casters hoping to stay on top of the gravel in my shed. A week before "dolly-day" I took my 100 lb lawn mower across the gravel on a pneumatic-wheeled hand truck. The wheels moved the gravel and sunk too much. If that is 100 lb, 900 lb just ain't going to make it. Crap!

I was re-surfacing some of my driveway with "crusher dust" or 3/8 minus rock, no dirt, that locks together very well, and had enough to put a topping on the shed floor. It made a huge difference!

The dollies were also my first welding project. So, with that, the not-so-solid floor and the potential for the backhoe to be too "tippy" on 10" casters at most 30" apart, this would be an experiment.

Also, I noticed the casters did lose some air pressure over time. So that too needed to be protected against.

The pics show the process. Overall, it went very well. First, position the dolly, then use the bucket to roll the dolly under the base once it is raised on the stabilizers. Then raise the stabilizers and hope for the best on rolling 900 lb around.

Here is a link for the images (if you use the link, click the first image and scroll through to get descriptions..)

Otherwise here is a start and end pic. After getting into place, I jacked and blocked the dolly to make sure any air loss in the tires would not topple the backhoe.

The crusher topping made it possible to roll the dolly quite easily. The casters and platform sizing was just stable enough to make pushing it by the dipper arm workable.

Next: The loader dolly. Obviously easier at 1/3 the weight. We'll see...
