Thats it? How come I'm not done yet?:D :D

Obviously, you've been spending too much time at the mall Christmas shopping!

I know if it was me, that list would get cranked out by the first week of January..... 2211!

There are 2 ways to make a tractor have a smaller turn radius. One, is to have the wheels turn more (front, or back).

But, another way, is to shorten the wheelbase. So, if you aren't able to make the wheels turn more, why not shorten the WB if you can. You won't be sorry, unless you shorten too much and now can't carry anything in the FEL

One could also make the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction and/or articulate the chassis (or just the rear axle) to accomplish essentially the same thing.

Certainly both are much more complicated, especially with 4wd.

Wonder how many guys make a good living with "Toy" tractors like Kubota.

I make a living building 5th wheel trailers for dinky toy trucks like the Mercedes Sprinter ;)

Great, great thread GT2!

I daydream a lot while sitting atop my tractor mowing for hours, and think about all kinds of improvements. Most of the improvements would be to build tractors more user serviceable and cheap to repair. Some tractors have parts that are so expensive that if they break, it all but totals out the tractor. Having a frame not only eliminates expensive and delicate castings, but makes the machine a lot more versatile and easy to work on. Looks like your project is going to be as cheap and easy to repair as a tractor could get.

Good luck! Looking forward to more pictures.

Merry Christmas to all!

GT2, what is the status of the tractor? People have posted here from time to time about doing this, but no one has ever gotten this far along. Have you made any more progress?

You just described a tractor design as Versatile... that became a brand name for a tractor of that particular design ;)

Ha!! No I havent died!:)
Sorry I'm so slow, I'm working on buying some property in Idaho so I've been saving every dime and working on polishing up my present home to put up for sale in the future.
So... no progress, but the next step is motor mounts and drive line adapters!
