Have you widened the front axle?

Have you widened the front axle per my bracket photo a few posts up?

No...I looked at that but it seemed that the "strut" piece that was interfering wouldn't move "out" from the engine block to give me clearance. Maybe it would and if so that would be what is hanging me up. I'm about ready to push it off a cliff.

Just move the bolt in the yoke . Hanging the loader 1.5" closer on the 3 cylinder tractors perhaps was a compromise.

Okay I missed that fact on first read.

Okay I missed that fact on first read.

After looking at a manual and some on line photos there might be an Inside (narrow) and an outside (wide) hole for the radius arm so if that's the case I might be OK. Need to go back out and look at it closer. And, going back and looking at your last photo yours is in the outside hole, so that's the deal.

Still pushing to make the May 4th&5th local antique tractor in Mayfield KY with set up on the 3rd. There is still the front bracket but mentally it is done based on what we know at this time. The bucket has to be repaired but we want it mounted first to cut out most of the manual handling part. :)

Today I got the painting done on the parts that will not be cut and welded on as I will posts. The main cylinder is now blue and the curl cylinder is primed and ready to make blue.

I was moving fast and had to finish painting in light rain but was down to the inside area where the top of the main lift cylinder pins. The new paint did not get rained on when when it came a storm. The other spotted a bit where what had beaded up water after the sun came back out but that is not an issue. I plan to brush on the second coat on the top side of the arm for longevity of the paint job.

711 front bracket mod.jpg

This is a quick shot of modifying the front mounting bracket to effectively move it 3/4" to the rear. I see a Ford 2310 3 cylinder today and both engine blocks are about 18" long but the front bolster was very different on the 2310 than our 3000 but similar to the one on our 3600. As noted by Soundguy mounting a 711 one arm loader on a 1965+ 3 cylinder Ford tractor can be a challenge at best.

If the bracket modification goes well by Friday evening hopefully the loader will be functional so we can start rebuilding the bucket.

For the antique tractor show next week we are hoping to have Dad's old 1962 Ford bidirectional pond scoop cleaned up and painted mounted on the 3PH.

Looks like it will work. I've been begging for someone to send me a trace of the factory bracket, 291279., but no takers yet. I did figure out that I have two holes for the radius arm so I'll be able to move it enough to fit the hip bracket.

I have never seen a 291279 bracket but you know the distance between the two small holes of 291279 so you could blow up the pictures of the 291279 bracket you posted to make those two holes the same space they are on your tractor and go from there perhaps. When you get the base of the loader arm mounted on the hip pin and belly strap you should be very close to knowing all of the info you need.

Have you posted a photo of your bolster?
