How old was Molly?
My tractor dog/pal for 15 years, Booger, had to be put down. I laid on the vet's floor to look him in the eyes to say goodbye. It really tugs at your heart strings, feeling like they will break, grieving over a friend that is gone. Rest assured she is in no pain now.

Thanks, Molly was 13 in May but she fought through diabetes, deafness, 2/3 blindness, neuropathy and a year after being diagnosed with bladder cancer. We spent a week in Boston for radiation and has been on chemo treatment as well. She was a fighter but she finally couldn't continue and we had to do what most of us decide to do.
A vet tech gave my wife the best compliment by saying, "In my next life I want to come back as your pet because you guys never give up regardless of work or cost"
I went on our daily mile walk this am still felt her presence.

Mutts at a parade yesterday. Only ones we know is the real little girl who's leading them.

My dog loves the pool. Trying to figure out though how to make a ladder or something so she can get herself out. Gets old fast lifting her every few minutes. She does not like to stay on a float either as it does not satisfy her herding instinct.
She wears herself out, so we attach her to the fence with a bowl of water and some shade from the big umbrella.

Vinyl liner, so anything that might rub on the liner would cause damage.

Over the years I could not get even my best-behaved dogs to be calm at a parade. Way too much stimulation and loud noises. Glad to see that you can do it.

We get our dogs in parades on a regular bases.

Hard lesson, hopefully only once!

Mutts at vet shop today. Dolly, the little B collie tested positive for Lyme disease or bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi so she's going on antibiotics for that. Yes we do tick meds for them but thats not 100%.

Some dogs do learn while others associate porkies with pain and attack them asap.
