My GSD used to be gunshy but is now completely deaf. He has started to learn sign language but it's hard to get a deaf dog's attention! He's 13 1/2 years old so he's not complaining.

After 13 1/2 years he can expect a lot of consideration from you.

I always thought utilizing those party poppers might be a good way to start curing a dog of fear of noises. Luckily I've never had to deal with it.
Have I ever mentioned that time that my dog ran off on the first day of deer season? That night I was driving the woods roads behind my truck touching off my .357. I finally found her, trapped on my neighbor's second floor deck. She was fine going upstairs but didn't like going down them.

The next morning I was in the local general store, and they said that the game wardens were looking for whoever was shooting the night before. In hindsight I probably should have called and told them.

I come to a point where I now need to expend my vocabulary with Vegas … Break is too much of a free fall so I added OK and she is calmer off the command because it was getting nuts … I still need to do session here and there has too much off and she gets puppy crazy and she is now in incredible shape with the snow and snowmobiling…

the two female are still a hand full in the house but tolerable meaning one park in her bed or cage door open and one loose and alternating but at the property they play and are fine with some hiccups here and there always with the wife never myself it has to be a authority/ dominance / protection/ jealous issue pick your choice …
