thanks for the reply well i got a new fuel filter installed, got all the air out of the lines pulled the injectors turned them around so I could see if and how they fired, all three made nice spray mist patterns, reinstalled them and still no start, so im thinking i must have a blown head gasket,or broke or stuck rings, could it be anything elese,? am i missing anything, in my mind if a diesel is getting fuel it should run unless it doesnt have compression to make the fuel fire, should i do a compression test or would that be a waist of time cause the head is gonna have to come off anyway? and how do you do a comp test on a diesel thru the injector port?, thanks again guys

A leak down test will tell you a lot more than just a compression test. You may be able to rent a tester, or Harbor Freight has a pretty decent one for sale here: Cylinder Leak-Down Tester

However, since you indicated that you were getting puffs of smoke from the crankcase breather, it's a pretty good chance that you have a few broken rings and possibly piston/liner damage. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

were would i mount that tester to do a leak down test, and thanks great news hahaha jk, hey it can only get better right, well at the end of it all I will know the tractor very well, if I do have to put in liners or re-ring will I have to split the tractor or can the work be done from the bottom, when the tractor is turning over there are no bad knocking or scraping sounds,Thanks again for all the help

Depending on the oil sump pan, if it has the bolt on bottom plate you can re-sleeve and ring it without splitting the tractor,Have you confirmed the timing ? I cannot imagine all 3- cylinders are not producing any compression ?I would confirm the timing first. You are correct if you are getting fuel it should start, did you try to give it 1- "small" shot of starting fluid to see if it would fire ? If it did try, timing could be the problem,if not your back to the compression issue

how would the timing get off? and if the cyls were wet with fuel wouldnt they try to fire, I will try the starting fluid, the tractor does have the bolt on pan so i guess im lucky there, also with the tractor only having 69hrs on it wouldnt it be kinda strange for the rings to be bad at such a low hr, should i pull the air cleaner off and shoot the starting fluid down the intake tube? Thanks again for all your halp guys

Is this tractor in a place it can be worked on? Or is it still in the field?
Sorry I'm kinda muddled about here the tractor actually is.

If I had the tractor some place it could actually be worked on after confirming fuel was not the issue. I'd do a compression test. And only if the compressions were boardline would I do a leak down test.
The leak down is easier to do if one removes the rockers on the valve train (if you get to running leak downs you're going to be checking or tearing that apart any ways). It's easier to remove the valve train because top dead centers for each cyl. (and it must be absolutely top dead center) can be very frustrating, but with the valves not in play each cyl will just cycle to bottom dead center and you can then find where the leakage is.

It's all very odd.
50 hrs. the the engine just stops.
The owner just walks away.

Seems something is missing in this story.

I have never in my life removed any components to do a leak down test, except for a spark plug, injector, or glow plug.

Okay fine, I understand. Shrug, different strokes for different folks.
But that is not the first thing I go about if I'm dealing with an old world push rod driven valve train.

Leak down not with standing, not firing up at all and fuel 'apparently' okay, compression is the first test on a diesel engine, and much easier than a leak down.

I still say there's some part of this story that's missing.
