I got a drawbar with the 1700 but there is no stabilizer to keep the tow ball from flipping around upsidedown. Also, when I was moving my pontoon boat the tongue was swaying like crazy side to side when backing it up. If my Dad will bring his welder back over I can build one I think. Anyone know of a quick fix/temporary solution?

I presume that by "drawbar" you mean a bar with a bunch of holes in it that goes between the 3pt arms? If so, get a clevis and put it over the end of the arm and pin it into the first hole of the drawbar. That will stop almost all of your rotation.

What you have is not really a drawbar.

A real drawbar usually attaches below the differential is is the proper hookup point for a hard pull. It is engineered to prevent the tractor from flipping over backwards if an immovable object is pulled on hard.

The tow bar you have is convenient for hooking up trailers and carts, but if you use it as the hookup point for pulling on something like a stump or a large rock, you are taking a large risk of overturn.

You need a draw bar lock, and a set of anti-sway chains, or adjust yours. Tractor Supply has it for $20.

Yep that's what I got. This sounds like a good fix. Thanks.

You can also use the clevis to pull a chain that way. IIRC, it was cheaper or about the same money to get a clevis as to get a thing made to keep the bar from rotating at when I was looking at TSC.
