I'm finding out that black is a lot harder to shoot than any other color I've tried....I don't have good light in the redneck paint booth and I have a hard time with the second coat. When your spraying black over primer gray I can see what I'm doing but when I get to the second coat of black it's hard to see where I've been and runs become a problem...
Update time for those of you keepin' up with this.
The beast is finnely off of its tires and most of the little peskey parts are painted and waiting, I got the last batch of little parts primed today and all that leaves for primmer is the tranny/motor and rims.
I only hope I can remember how to put this thing back together again
Bla, bla, bla.......next weekend may be a wash, I all ready have more than I can do in two days without including the tractor... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
It looks great... thanks for the photos, they are a great inspiration. I do the same thing with pallets that you do with block (no need to be uncomfortable just because you're working).
I just happened to notice... you are still using porcelain knobs for the wiring... Hadn't seen that since I was a little boy... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I ended up with a good part of the weekend with free time...something I hadn't planned on...so I put it to good use back in the red neck paint booth...
I think I have made it over the hump this weekend with painting and am now looking at the down hill side of this project. Bout' the only thing I have to paint is the rims and there primed and waiting for a nice coat of white.
