Re: dressin\' up an old YM187

Got mine mostly together today, just a few loose ends to tidy up and then it's time to put this Yanmar back to work, weather really warmed up today, into the 70's here in KC. All the sheetmetal's back on, but I'll have to take it off again, found out my fuel gauge isn't working now, and I'll have to pull the hood off to put the decals on.

Mark:

The hurricanes didn't do the building any good, but to be truthful it didn't look a whole lot better before all the storms hit.

Yepper, I would say it's a redneck spray booth.. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Thanks for the thumbs up guys...it's comming along and I'm very happy with it, wasn't quite pleased with the shine on the hood so I hit it again just a bit ago and it's looking better.

Jagmandave:

Looking good, does it go faster or lift more with new paint? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Whiskey,

Man oh man, I don't know what you did between Saturdays post and todays, but....hey, you better carefully check tire pressures....I mean to hold up a shine like that.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif .

Re: dressin\' up an old YM187

Thanks, guys. These are such low res pics it's hard to see any real detail, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Still have to get the new decals on the sides of the hood, and now my gas gauge doesn't work, so I'll be taking at least part of it back off again.
And yes, it's at least .o1 mph faster now, and I'll bet it'll lift at least a pound more than before! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

My next project, I have an ROPS on my ZTR mower that I really don't feel the need for, I'm looking to see if it's possible to adapt it to my Yanmar, plus I'm going to buy a toothbar for the bucket, then I should be pretty much done, and back to work it goes.
