I also run mine low to the ground.

Another thing that gets me is during hay season EVERY tractor I see on the road with a loader mounted hay fork has it tilted back at almost exactly head height. Point the thing at the road people!

I usually have the loader off when mowing but I too use it in unknown territory.
What I don't get is seeing people baling or raking with a 100 HP or more tractor and the loader and bucket are ALL the way up!! For visibility I am guessing, . . but there are some major forces on that poor thing rocking back and forth way up in the air.

Only 1st pass I drive with mower behind me, after that I use the full extend of the ditch bank flail mower and drive in the 1st pass track. It also sucks in way less stuff into radiator when I do it this way.

I keep my bucket elevated to prevent it from bottoming on the uneven ground I mow. If I'm in an area with difficult visibility, I'll remove it.

On construction sites you’ll rarely see moving equipment with the bucket high in the air. Loaders in a gravel pit are different though.

We keep the loader bucket or bale forks rotated up while roading the tractors or doing field work with them on. If pointed down if they contact the ground it is going to cause a lot of damage. With it rolled back it will skid along the ground and not dig in.

My dad ran over an unseen bike with his little ford and a bushog. Made a racket.

I try to stay low. I have to lift it to get through gates when the fork is loaded, however. When I carry a lot of debris, the FEL is usually a couple of feet off the ground to prevent things hanging off of it from catching on weeds and things.

My most fun experience with the FEL came while using a rope to pull shrubs. The rope was not centered, and when the FEL went up, the tractor started rolling onto the side with the rope. The speed of the roll was impressive.

I have noticed some people driving there tractors with the front end loader bucket about 3' to 4'ft off of the ground while mowing or brush hogging and I am wondering why some people do so . I always keep the bucket low to the ground .
I have to remove the bucket to put on the Brush hog. :D
