I would think the sides would hold up OK, as long as you don't overload the trailer, (and especially piling it up along the sides). Put your load in the center. You can ask the mfr. For wood debris and the like, it would be no problem.

Here's a few pics of the spare tire bracket I welded up and the sides. I wanted the tire out of the way, and not in the bed. And showing the sides as I made them up. I used steel channel to go into the stake holders along the sides. I suspect that's what the mfr would do also, since their sides are removable, also. I can tell you that using the channel is real sturdy, and I have not had any problems. I did make each side in 2 pieces since a couple 10 foot pieces are easier to handle than one long 20 foot length.

it looks like the trailer would twist easy with the cylinders back as far as they are or the cross tube would bend under a heavy load is their a releaf valve in the hydrolic system for safety to prevent that do you know or is the hydrolic pressure set low enough to prevent that from happening. thats a good spot to hide your spair tire, and the removable side you made are slick

Hi Bobby,

I am careful about loading gravel or dirt very far forward, for just the reason you gave. For dirt, I only use the rear 12 feet or so. It works just fine filled all the way with debris, though. 6 or 7 feet high and a heavy tarp with straps. It's amazing what you can pile into it.

i bet it is a handy trailer. i'm glad to see that you know to be carefull when loading the front it will probly last you a long time then. and it looks like one of the nicer ones built
