I have a 3410 with FEL & BH, I was wondering what everyone is using to move dirt around their places. I was thinking of something like a little dump trailer that I could use the BH to fill if cleaning out ditchs or moving dirt and rocks.

Yep, that's what I did. Works good. Mine's a 5' x 10' w/ 2' sides, 7K# gross, tandem axles, 12v/hyd powering a single ram. I pull it with my ranch truck, not my BX.
Cheers!

What is your budget?

These can be had for as little as $750 + shipping all the way up to $3000-4000 or more for a heavy duty contractors model.

Here is a link to the Country Manufacturing small dump wagons. Several of us have them and with a few mods they are pretty good for the price. Do a search here for Country Manufacturing or dump wagons or dump trailers and you will get several posts discussing them.

Ya, Thats about what I was thinking. I think I would go with the self contained hydralic system so I could pull it with a vehicle or something besides the Tractor. Does anybody have or know were some plans for a doit your self? Thanks

Go to trailerplans.com. They have the best plans around. For about $40 you get detailed plans, cut and materials lists, and some design alternatives. These are professionally designed and drawn plans. I have a set of the ones for the model 10HD dump trailer and they are well done.

Here is the link to a sample of one of their plans. The list of plans can be found on their website.

Depends on how much you want to haul. I have one of the Country Mfg 2 ton tandem axle wagons and added a cylinder. It works pretty good, can put 2+ yards in it and have hauled more loads of dirt than I can count. Stopped keeping track after 50 trips. Would really like a small 3 yard scraper but thier kinda spendy.

I have a Dandy dump 6x12. It was made in Tennesee.

I haul 3 yards of gravel at a time. It spreads it really nice. I originally got it to put in a gravel road to my cabin. It was too wooded to get a big truck in there. Since then I have found many uses for it. I pull it with my tractor when I am cleaning up trees. One of the best toys, uh tools, I own. You'll never regret buying one.

I have an Anderson 6 ton series dump trailer that I bought almost a year ago and it has been just great, but of course I paid for it - was right at $4500 tax & all. It's a 6 1/2' x 12' with 2' metal sides and I added another 30" with treated lumber to the sides, it has 5 stake pockets per side. My model trailer has the single cylinder scissor-type lift and I love it. The dual cylinder models have a frame that sits lower than the trailer frame and clearance would be a problem offroad, not so with the scissors set up. The trailer weighs-in at 3,000 lbs. so I have an actual capacity of about 9,000 lbs. All of the pump & battery assembly is mounted under the bed so theft isn't a concern - they have an external positive battery post just in case of a dead battery, and the 12' long remote switch unplugs and you take it with you. Mine has a single, side-hinged tailgate but they offer split tailgates as well as the combination type that open to the side or swing from the top. I really like mine and am happy with the investment - I expect to get many years of use out of it. My Mahindra loads it easily, even with limbs & brush that dangle from the forks, and when loading fill I can load evenly all from one side of the trailer.

This Anderson looks like a Pronovost trailer I looked at that used the tractor remotes for dump. It had twin cylinders mounted on the side frame rails and dumped very high for good cleaning. 4 balloon tires, sturdy enough for <3cy of gravel or topsoil. I couldn't swing it at $3K used, but I know they are up around 5 new. I did wonder how long the dumping cycle would take with the 9.5 gpm tractor pump and two big cylinders. The owner swore by it and said he'd moved about 2800 yards with it building his house and road.

I have exactly same trailer as Skip, the Anderson 12K pound dump. I deliver firewood using it. I bought an EZmover from one of TBN's advertisers. I just pop the hitch off my truck and into the EZmover receiver and off we go. I haul brush, dirt, gravel etc with the trailer and because of the 12' cord on the dump switch, I don't even need to leave the tractor seat. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'll try to get a photo today.
