I am in the same boat with my 72" bucket and cutting edge. I just received an email back from R2 regard this. Some updated information is below.

"We are working on bringing a set to market that would work, they are bigger in the back. They are being fabricated now, but probably won't ship for about 30 days. We should be listing them soon for preorders, in the next week or so."

I have 72" construction bucket on my tractor. Last year I flipped the cutting edge over after repeated gouging. That was an improvement. This year I have 4) 4" edge tamers for it. I plan to remove the cutting edge when I install the edge tamers.

That's the same e-mail they sent me a month ago.

Just an FYI. I heard back from R2 again today. They stated that they are finalizing the cost of the 6" edge tamer and that is why it is not on the website yet for pre-order. They did stated that this unit will be very heavy and you will need two hands to carry it. They believe that a person will only need two for a 72" bucket with a bolt on cutting edge.

I have 2 of the 4 inch edge tamers. They are very substantial. They came via USPS with a big warning on the box that it was heavy and weight was more than 35 pounds. I would imagine even larger ones you would want to carry with two hands.

Well if the GFS weather model is correct I am going to get to work out my edge tamers this weekend. 3-6 coming this weekend and up to 12 by Tuesday.

If the European model is correct I will use the leaf blower to blow the dusting of snow off the deck and sidewalk.

I had no idea something like this existed and it would have made some previous work easier. Now waiting for the 6" pricing to go over my 72" bucket with Piranha Tooth bar. I measured using the template and it appears the current 4" would probably work.

Couldn't bring myself to spend that much even though they may be worth it so I decided to fabricate my own. My criteria was I didn't want to remove my piranha tooth bar. So I took wood from my cabinet shop and fabricated one until I got proper fit and then transfered to a drawing. The only modification from the drawing is I eliminated the metal U and opted to weld flat stock of the same width directly to the shoe. When I took the drawing to the metal shop they offered to bend it for me. So I then welded it, drilled the bolt holes and welded the nut on and then painted. Fit is nice and tight. Total cost was $35

They look nice! Since I do not have the skill or equipment to do that kind of work, ordering was the choice I made. The wife is an artist so I think she is going to insist on painting them blue to match the tractor. The bucket is black so I will still be able to see them easily. I want to keep the red so I can see them even easier when I am plowing.
