Looking good. On your leak, spray your lines and fittings with soapy water...You can usually find it.

Already removed the line, need to replace the whole thing.

Thanks.

Scooped up some dirt to make it easier to jack up the rear end. It felt good to use it, still need to stay on flat ground though. I am not comfortable on the hills we have without brakes.

I pushed off of that pad a little bit. My wife says it looks like I was making a road...

Looking good.

Remember you said the spool valve was complex? Well we got through it, it works, and no leaks. I can’t take all the credit, my tractor mechanic friend was the brains behind that project. He is gonna help me with the planetary gears too, maybe in a week and a half or so.

The plate that retains the lower articulation nut was missing, and the nut loose. I got a wrench and tightened it, Also made a sketch of what I need to make. Dropped one end of the driveshaft, because it was in the way. The nut was kind of buggered up, so I had to debur it first. I have the means to make the plate. It will have a hex shaped hole in the middle, and two holes for the bolts (5/8-11).

Tried to remove the front wheels, to get to the brakes. I have all of the lug bolts out of one wheel, but it’s stuck in place. Hitting it with a sledgehammer didn’t do any good, driving up and back while turning the wheel didn’t do any good either. I couldn’t drive it much at all though, the lower radiator hose sprung a leak. Another casualty of working in proximity to it, on the rear pin. I am thinking next time put the new hoses on, add antifreeze, dig the bucket in and push. I am thinking that’ll work, my friend suggests pushing from the frame with a hydraulic jack. I saw a YouTube video with the same problem on the same loader. They broke a winch cable pulling to the side, then got it loose driving on it. It has thirteen 3/4-10 lug bolts, grade eight.

I added 25 gallons of hydraulic fluid to bring both the steering and bucket tanks up to proper level. Had to clean out both the petcocks on the bucket tank, they were clogged. Broke the 3/4 ratchet internal mechanism trying to loosen the lug bolts, it is the Thorsen 3/4 with round head and knob. Went out to the nearest auto parts and bought a breaker bar. Still had a very long cheater, and most went POW when it broke loose. Also added diesel injector cleaner and the remaining fuel I had siphoned in order to swing the tank out of the way.

The rear axle has two articulation pins, this is the front one. It also had the plate welded to the pin break off, they welded another plate to capture the pin. I need to do the same thing to the rear pin.

Edit: I cleaned this up more after the picture.

Old and new bucket tilt hose, it had a fair leak. That痴 the last bucket system leak I know of.
