Effects of Trailer length

I had a 20' pipe rail bumper pull, that the not loaded tongue weight was enough to bounce off of the overload springs on the 3/4 ton truck.

It would bounce like crazy on some concrete roads. But with a load on it, it pulled fine, no bounce.

I sold it and got a 20' gooseneck, major difference, they pull so much better. :thumbsup:

Here's my PJ 20'x96" 14k (26' long all together). I have found that with this trailer if I don't put enough weight on the truck it can be very bouncy. However if I put enough weight on the truck to get it to sag a bit and it tows nicely. My 574 weighs about 7K or so and towed nice.

You mean you had some wind in Texas??

Texas is the only place I've been where there's only headwinds no tailwinds.
