I'm still not convinced his truck is not the problem. Something just doesn't add up.

Agreed. I'd like an hour with his trailer and my pickup - bet I could figure it out. My MaxBrake shows amperage draw and I'd be interested in seeing what his brakes draw when fully applied.

a 35$ hoppy controller would make it or brake it ( pun intended )

troubleshooting grounds, and wires to magnets is about it, assuming hubs and shoes are correct .

I had everything checked. My truck IBC was checked twice from the dealer. They claim it works fine. Its not the break controller we tried it on another truck with P3 and did the same thing level 10 no load could not get them to lock up. The trailer needed to be replaced defective. CornPro did not stand behind there trailers. This thing was not even a Year old and about 150 miles on it. I had it looking newer then when i got it. Dexter said they would just keep replacing everything tell we got to the problem. I don't have time to keep driving it back and fourth trying to figure it out. I already had to spend close to $300 out of my pocket for this thing. SoundGuy I'm not trying to screw anybody. I wanted CornPro to take trailer back and give me my money back. As a safety issues i would have taken it back and tore it apart to find out whats going on to make sure other trailers are not like this. They would not do that. So the dealer said he would take it back and try to fix the problem and sell it get me my money back.

If your sure it's not your truck then it's one of two things.

Wiring. Bad grounds or too small gauge of wire are common issues.

Brakes. On the wrong side or improperly assembled/adjusted.

Just out of curiosity what size wheel and tire is on this trailer? Reason I ask is I had a customer have a similar issue. He complained to me and finally I got him to let me take a look. Long story short is his trailer came with 14" wheels and 205 tires. He had replaced them with 18" wheels and 255 tires. The longer "arm" of the bigger wheel package allowed it to place much more torque on the brakes because of its lever action making the brakes very ineffective.

My guess is you did not change wheels or tires but maybe Corn Pro put some odd larger size on making the brakes ineffective.

I wasn't trying to say that you were shafting someone, but if the dealer simply resells it, as it sounded in another post, someone would be getting shafted. If the dealer is going to fix and resell, why can't he fix for you??

Trailer e brakes are pretty simple electrically and mechanically. If they are installed correctly, and not locking under no load, then there is an electrical issue.

He was going to try and fix the problem. I had my trailer at the largest RV center in my area and they could not figure it out. So I know he isn't going to figure it out. The RV place told me brakes t small for trailer weight and size
