Yes i have put over 10,000 miles one one Bolt drove it through the michigan winter. It has a very sporty driving dynamic. It handles expansion joints on the freeways very well. It is a little stiff going over bumps in parking lots. Ive seen lots of comparisons too ford focus s/t. Its very roomy the back seat will accommodate a 6'3" passengers without sacraficing the drivers legroom I'm 5'9"

Very nice! I'd be curious to see what the average wh/mi evens out to once you've had a chance to run it for the full season.

The world's problems would go away if the world's human population was cut to 1% of current levels.

That one thing I totally agree with you. Overpopulation is a problem nobody wants to talk about. And it si getting worse, not better.

India is targeting 100% EV's in less than 15 years. They need solutions to horrible urban smog and the high cost of imported petroleum.

India eyes all-electric car fleet by 2030: Piyush Goyal

Read more at:
India goes for e-ride, eyes all-electric car fleet by 23: Piyush Goyal - The Economic Times

Indian news is a little confounding. For more on this search recent news for Piyush Goyal, the 'Minister of State (Independent Charge) Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy, and Mines'. I read several versions before it was clear how they intend to proceed with this.

India means business in solving pollution. They are gaining on it compared to no action. A decade or so ago they banned diesel for trucks and busses in the cities and also forced conversion of all the little jitneys from Vespa-like smoggy two strokes, to CNG. Perhaps India and China will be the first nations to have a majority of EV's.

Another problem is that they will slap a lot of patents on the technology as it being developed. US companies should be in forefront of the development even if the technology is used elsewhere.

That is not true sonic and trax are built on Gamma 1 platform. The Bolt is on its own unique platform G2 if anything it would be closer to the trax encore as it sits up much higher. But the chassis is ground up purpose built to be an electric car. Sonic and trax have front bearings that press into the knuckle. Bolt has serviceable hubs that bolt into the knuckle. Brakes corners are common with the Volt and new Cruize. And FNC treated/coated for long life

Height, length, width and interior room is bout the same. needs heavier brakes due to the extra weight.

Would you publish, if you have it available, more data about the economics of the car, such as cost per mile, the cost of your electric power, kWh used for charging etc? I am just about ready to buy one.

Coal burning plants need night load (in ex. street lights) to keep running. Sooner or later all street lights will be replaced by high efficiency fixtures lowering the night load. Electric car night charging might be the night load that will keep the coal burning plants running.
So A/C or Heat plus water heaters, refrigerators, freezers and all the electronics that use electricity 24 hours a day isn't enough?

The key is "24 hours a day". that is a steady load. Caol plants cover that plus other uses normal during the day. At night the demand goes down for those "other things" leaving the plant either dumping load or shutting down generators.

Late afternoon and evening loads summer and winter are the problem. Air conditioners are running full blast or winter heat and street lights, evening meals are being cooked . Morning peak loading is also a problem with no solar and minimal wind. These all make a peak demand without solar PV generation and wind turbines which tend to be still in those hours. The beloved wind and solar fall flat and conventional thermal generation that can be rapidly ramped up and down is required for backup.
