Electric Power Washer Recommendation?

I found that as long as the electric power washer was stored inside and didn't freeze, they would last a while.
I have a Sun Joe type, going on 4 years and still works fine for clearing grunge off cement and the house.
Also less dangerous for the wife to use vs. gas powered.

I winterize my pressure washer with this. Pushes the water out and make sure things do not freeze.

You couldn't give me a gas unit. Mostly for the noise. I just have a Marathon Motor and a CAT pump on a cart. Not a piece of plastic on the thing. Had it twenty five years or so and I bought it used. It is 120 Volt, can't be switched to 240 and I regret that, because 15 amps isn't quite enough and it will blow certain circuits. But at 240 you would also be limited.

Bought a Craftsman 1600 psi from Menards for $99 three years ago when my old campbell-housfeld died and couldn't get parts. It's super light and easy to carry and perfect for light duty cleaning like lawnmower, siding, decks. $99 is still their advertised price for it. If I was still haying and needed something more powerful I would still use this one for cleaning most stuff as it's easy to carry around.

I have a 3200PSI model - Husky. It will strip the paint off your vehicle but it won't take that last uber fine layer of mud off. I just use a long handle scrub brush and hot soapy water.

Hot water is what makes the difference!
My antique 1000psi, electric motor, fuel oil fired Hotsy, does a better cleaning job than my 13Hp Honda powered 4500 psi cold water CAT pump unit.

I bought a foam gun/canon. Fun to use. Seems to get my truck clean but wanted to show off to a friend and it left a film on his truck. He basically said, what good is that? He's from the city though! Touchless car washs must have a chemical to address even city film.

Pros to the electric are you do not have another engine to maintain.
Cons are not nearly as much power as a gas unit and you have to power the thing if you are far from an electrical source. I use my stand by generator for this purpose.

The cheaper 120v electrics may not have the power the gas units do.
But commercial 240v electrics certainly do.
We have a couple commercial electric hot water power washers at work that work dam good.
