OK next solution? Maybe buy a small transformer and convert the 230 to 120. Would probably need one of our extention cords also depending on where it is parked relative to the power.........

Well it's probably better to just buy a 230V heater and install yourself.

Will buy in-hose-heater. I had been too focused on having an original in-block heater. Result will be good no matter what, that's the important thing.

Thank you to all of you for suggestions and help. I can't imagine there are many other forums where people actually will go out and meassure their watt's just to give a fast reply.

Now it's basically to sit down and wait. Guess it will be at least a month before it's here and I'm already so eager to go digging that I had a shovel in my hands today. Didn't use it. Felt wrong.

So, how big a hole have you made with your bx? Pictures anyone? Guess this ought to be a new tread...

I checked the actual block heater today and the tag on the chord says 1200 watts. I would imagine that hose heaters will draw a similar amount.

Check with the local Kubota dealer. Since the BX model is sold in Norway, then they probably have the correct block heater available for those models. I have to believe that you are not the first one in Norway to want a block heater on the BX tractor, so the correct one probably is available, but at a higher $$$ cost. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
