I’ll have to take a closer look at the freeze plug. I had in my mind I had to use the back plug and there is no way I could put the heater in the 7 O’clock position on that one. The wife had no trouble starting it today in 25-degree weather. I just would rather start the engine with it warm. Seems to me it would be easier on it. The 685 won’t even smoke at 10 degrees if you warm it up, but that takes a good 4 hours. Smokes a little if you only plug it up for 2 hours. Can’t hardly see in the shop if you fire it up with either. Thanks for all the replies. This board has been so helpful to me.
