F150 Engine Preference

I went with a V8 as God intended. Something about that sound just seems right in a pickup.

??? The only "sound" I want to hear when driving my truck is whatever soft music I have playing on the stereo. Otherwise "The Sounds of Silence" suffice.

Gave up wanting to "hear" my engines some 30 years ago. Now I wear ear plugs when on the motorcycle/quad/John Deere.

For sure, only the 5.0 passes the ear test! But it is kind of exciting hearing a couple turbo's spool up! :D

I'm a fellow traveler.

My F350 6.7 was in for service today, My friend is the sales mgr at the dealership there and he let me take his demo for the day, it's a 2019 3.5 150 Limited 4x4.....WOW what a nice truck.... the ride quality is phenomenal...far better than my 19 XCab XLT 150. The motor had plenty of power, but I feel like my 150 3.5 may have just a bit more. Maybe it's lighter. ..My truck also feels like is shifts more and the shifts are more noticeable.. Anyway..I put about 100 miles on his today, drove a small normally would and reset the MPG meter hen I left the dealership. When I got back it said 20.3 avg mpg. I think that's pretty good for a full size 4 door 4x4 truck.

A '19 Limited would have the 3.5HO (Raptor engine), the most powerful engine available in any half ton PU. So, had you put your foot a bit deeper into the pedal, the big power bump over the regular 3.5 would have been more obvious, even with the additional weight.

A while back I got my father a F150 with the 2.7L EB, Its a lease and is coming up soon for return. We got him a 12K mile/Yr lease and after the 3 years, he probably won't even hit 15K total. The truck has been trouble free and we are actually thinking about just buying it for the residual of the lease which is 27K ish. Don't really think we could find anything better for the money.
