I fixed two of the 4 door lock actuators yesterday before the temps went back too close to freezing. Talk about a stupid design!
Once you get them out, it's not so bad a repair. Guys are posting to use aluminum foil around the resistor that fails, but I just pounded out a piece of 12ga house wiring into the appropriate thickness and nipped it to length and shoved it in the slot. Took less time than cutting the foil to width.
