OK, don't laugh, but I'm getting 900 lbs of FRP in tomorrow and have been draggin' my butt on making some forks out of iron (can't believe it came in this quick)... so in a pinch these will work for what I need to do with them. They'll help me move my drywall and boards around too I suppose.
I had all the stuff anyway, which only amounted to a 4 x 4

I don't plan on lifting the whole skid, but we'll see once it's out of the trailer and on the ground.

Freds,

I love your simple solution, I will be borrowing your idea. Thank you as it will be a big help to me, and inexpensive too!

Not having the capability to weld at the moment, I decided the get the quick attach adapter on my FEL. I purchased the Markham Forks unit not long ago. They are great, well made and reasonably priced. I paid about $500 delivered. Good visibility too.

I firmly believe some type of quick attach adapter is almost a must for your FEL. I now have 4 different implements that fit on my FEL. An HD bucket with toothbar; Hy-reach Tree Shear; pallet forks and a grubbing bucket. The latter is a narrow front bucket for digging out stumps and transplanting small trees.
