Updates on new features.
Neat.
First thing I used mine (DJI Phantom 3 Adv) for was to check the chimney and roof.
Lately I've been practicing figure 8's to get smoother on the transitions. The new software supports POI, and supposedly once you program it in the unit will orbit the point with the camera oriented. It also supports waypoints so you can program a flight path, which will be useful for several more tasks.
The leaves are turning so should get some nice shots this weekend.

What kind of camera is on it? I would like to have a cheap drone to do stupid stuff with without risking losing the nice one.
Even my fairly expensive phantom 1 can't view the camera while flying. The go pro can stream to a smart phone, but it interferes with the GPS on the quadcopter. A have played with the smart phone viewing the go pro live. It has about a 30 second delay so I don't know how helpful that would be anyway. It's just a cheap 2M pixel camera that comes with it. I will have to post a couple pics I took with it when I get to my PC. It's a guess what you are taking pics of though because you can't see real-time while you fly.
ditto... love my P3 Advanced! Rainy weather and winds have grounded me though. Next mission is to check my gutters. I had a waterfall off of one roof today! The Phantom 3 has Lightbridge link for real-time viewing. Works great.

That's what kids are for! They owe me.Gottta ladder? The drone is not going clear the gutter.
