Fence Line App for my phone?

I haven't gotten to that area yet. Last year, my neighbor bought a dump trailer and he spent months working on his side of the line. He built that area up several feet, to fix a huge erosion issue that was caused from loggers and other people driving there when it was wet. Then he planted it all in Bermuda that's really looking good right now.

I've been focusing on the other end of the fence that's not on the map. It was a thick jungle that I've cleared and then I found a huge ditch that ran almost on the property line. My goal is to make the fence so both of us can mow either side of it easily, and not risk having any trees fall on the fence. He loves this idea and I'm allowed to take out every tree that I want to do this. It's become a much bigger project then I anticipated.

I'm also building an attached three car garage onto my house. While doing both of these projects, and my wife's never ending "must do" projects that come up almost weekly, my brother got sick and then passed away. He had 40 aces with livestock and a a bunch of stuff that I had to deal with. Just recently I got to the point that I could get back to work on my garage and the fence.

I have an added push to get the fence done because I'm keeping some of his cattle, and I want them to be here. Fortunately, the grass on his place is growing a lot faster then my place, and it's better to keep them there as long as possible. I'm feeding my goats and horses hay at my place, and the cattle are eating pasture grass while the last bale I put out is rotting away.

For the area that I started this thread about, I'm comfortable with where I believe the property line to be. My neighbor and I put a temporary post where we think the line is and and I've done several measurements to see how accurate it is. I think it's within an inch or two of being on the line. Since my posts are 6 inches thick, this is about as good as it can get.

Baby chicks have become an issue for my wife, along with her vegetable garden. We're doing Easter today, so tomorrow I'll mount cages on the wall of the big chicken coop so the chicks will be safe from snakes. Last year we lost a chick to a snake and she is terrified of it happening again. She has her garden planted, but there are a few areas in the walkway that need mulch, so I'm buying 4 pallets of red mulch from Lowes on Sunday. They are $2 a bag on sale right now, and it's too good of a price to pass on. They do this every year, and I buy several pallets every year. I'll be spreading mulch to keep busy for the next couple of months!!!!

My property was surveyed in 1892 and had a meet/bounds description. It's 80 acres - 1320x2640. It was fenced back in the 1890's. I still have the original meets/bounds description. Signed/sealed by a government surveyor. It was all done for land transfer under a form of a homestead grant.

When we came on the property in 1982 - all that remained of the fence were the corners. That was good enough for me. In 1982 I fenced the entire 80 acres.

Subsequently - three of the four corners have been survey since 1982. Neighbors selling off all or parts of their land. My fourth corner is smack/dab out in a large lake.

You can actually see my fence line on Google Earth. The cows eat the grass right up to my fence line.

Iman - you are correct. This Google satellite shot was in mid-August. What little green grass I have is mainly bunch grass. By mid-August - most all the green grass has turned tan and going on to dust. What the satellite pic shows - five acres of open water( Martin Lk) - going into five acres of cattails - the water flows out of the cattails - turns left thru the moat( the green strip) - into the big lake(Alkali Lk). My five acre lake is 80 feet deep. Alkali is basically a worthless body of water. Average depth is seven feet. If you are having problems with plugged bowls - half a glass of water from Alkali will cure all that. The cows drink it - but they don't have much choice and exceeding poor taste.

Alkali is the exact shape of an old Army boot. The water from the moat flows into Alkali at the heel of the boot. The shank of the boot - to the left and out of the picture.
