Now why ya gotta be like that??

I'm sorry I questioned your judgement. 200ft of woven wire would make a pile you couldn't pick up in one trip with a FEL and Grapple.

So,,,, since you smarted off,,, cut it loose and take a picture of the huge pile and post it. I'll stand by.

Don't take umbrage, you may be right. Lots of people question my judgement on a regular basis.

I don't recommend standing by though, it's gonna be a couple months before I get it done. By the way, a scorpion in Lucite is a nice gift, I collect them.

Unless that tree is special, I'd cut it and lift the wire off.

I plan on keeping the tree, it's in a strategic location.

Joe,

I would just cut in sections with the cutter you showed and try to pull it free of the vines, dirt and trees. Once you get started, you will find a method that works. Previous comments about burning it will help to soften it so you can compress it. Otherwise cut it in small enough sections to get rid of it. Be careful of cutting wire, wear eye protection if you need to. Good luck.

I'd keep the tree too. Any tree that can wind up 200 feet of hog fence is one special tree. :D. Can you wrap a cable around it and use it to get a tractor unstuck?

But seriously, how do you suppose the loggers did that?

Beg , borrow , rent a demo saw and cut it up and pull it off .
