I agree... identifying fuel is a good idea... I use these 2"x8" labels... ~$1.25 each... and a different color container for diesel...

I spill diesel on my JD 4400 on occasion when filling it, it washes the mud off of it.

The first time I fueled my orange tractor, it was a tad on the sloppy side. I then bought some simple odds and ends at the hardware store, and now I do it like this .

This is one of those threads that you want to start...but don't want anybody to think your not bright enough to fuel your tractor without spilling it. Kind of like, " How do you breathe?".

I DID NOT like lifting the 5 gallon jug over the tractor, standing on the front tire with the CEO standing by to direct the nozzle and wipe up any accidental spills.

So...I'm going to get the handy pump. It looks like a cheap, easy, neat fix.
