Well I talked to the wife a little bit more she said whatever I get she would be able to run it. Got a heck of a deal on a 4120 with the Power Reverser and I will be picking up the used but basically brand new loader for $3500. The dealer will be bringing to the store where I will be picking it up at sometime this week and they are going to swap the R4 tires for R1's. I think I'm going to hold off the the MX6 until I recoup some of my money from buying this thing. I'm really excited for this thing to get here. I've been shopping for tractors for nearly a year now and I'm glad I took my time and got what I wanted and not settled for something else. Although the ehydro would have been nice that's not something that I absolutely need, and I like the idea of having an automotive style pedal to control the throttle as well as one on the column. I'm going to get the extra lights for the ROPS when I pick it up. Do you guys suggest any other little items to get before I bring this thing home?

Very good move in my opinion. Been looking and thinking the MX6 would be quite a load for the 3520. Others may disagree, but I believe you made the right decision. I am a fan of filling the rear tires for added traction and a side benefit is increased stability. Get some bucket hooks welded to bucket. Can get these for a good price at AWDirect. The list will continue to grow! Congratulations.

brushogging 75 acres I would be looking at a 6000 series with a batwing unless the guy wants to go in low gear and start over again once he is done

Yeah, I know a few guys running 6 foot brush hogs on 3000 series and say it's not too bad on flat ground but it's more than a handful on the hills. I think I'm going to wait to load the tires for the time being just to see how it does without it. I have access to a pump so to do it later on really isn't a big deal. I was actually just looking at Ken's bolt on bucket hooks and clevis mount, not sure if I want to bolt them on or not. I think I feel more secure with them welded on there. Though he has plenty of videos showing the strength test of those thngs and very few broke the bolts, and if they did it was right around 19,000 pounds or so.

A 6000 series is certainly out of the question right now. I had a price limit in mind and stayed well below it. Maybe someday I will be able to afford a toy like that! Plus who wants to get done with all their tractor chores in 15 minutes.

Extendable draft links unless you are planning on a quick hitch.

Hey DLineman,

Congrats on making up your mind and getting you a new tractor!

Get an accessory (JD logo'ed) for your better half to use on your new beast- I got mine a horn (electric auto type) and a pink Kubota hat, and she really became a huge tractor fan, which makes buying more tractor toys easier...

Oh, and load your tires at your earliest convenience, it's safer AND less pucker inspiring!

Happy and safe tractoring,
Thomas

Well gents, there was a bit of a mix up at the dealer. The 4120 that was at a different location was already sold but still on the lot. Because of it being at a different location the salesman that I'm dealing with didn't know the unit wasn't available. He had a 4320 with a power reverser and R1 tires at the location I'm buying from ready to go, actually it just got delivered 2 weeks ago. So, he gave me a price on the 4320 that would be dumb to turn down. I guess this worked out better for me than I expected it would have. Oh, and the factory isn't making anymore 4120 power reversers this year that's what brought the 4320 into play. I really didn't want to spend any more money than I had already agreed to, but I think this screw up took a turn for the better.

Sounds like a good move to me. Same basic size and more horsepower.

Maybe get them to throw in a mx6.

I don't think I can get a free MX6 out of the deal, although that would be nice. I was thinking maybe try and get them to put the rim guard in the rear tires for free!
