Here you can see the flange they added to the PVC pipe and they are getting ready to make it seal.

Here you can see the water and mist coming from the drilling that they force into the drilled hole to cool bit. This comes out along with the debris from the drilling.

A lot of rock dust all over everything including my truck and trailer. The wind blew it all around as it was windy Friday.

This was about 300 feet and still no water... just rock dust and cooling water being pumped. They clean it out with higher air pressure and water before starting each 20 foot section of drilling.

You can see the difference here as they clean the hole of debris before starting another section.

The rock dust and debris from drilling Friday. You can see when the wind blew it around onto the grass as well.

This is the drilling company that is drilling the well. I am going to owe them a bundle of money when this drill is over. A Huge Bundle as it looks. Let's hope this hole isn't dry... It will cost $5 per foot for a dry hole. If they get water and enough water flow per minute... It will cost $9 per foot. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Monday will tell I guess. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I hope this has been informative for all. This is the first time I ever had to drill a well... so it was a learning experience for me as well. In SC you have to get a permit from SC DHEC to drill a well. SC DHEC

Oh well... what a bundle of money... I had allowed myself enough money to drill 450 feet... we are 90 feet past that now. That means right now I am $810 more into this at $9 per foot and still haven't gotten water. I am sure praying that this is NOT a dry hole. Otherwise my money will have went down a hole for nothing. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I am not sure how I will get the other money needed now and how much more will be needed. I may have to hold off a while on the irrigation equipment if it costs too much for the well.

Any suggestions?

Jim
