Buying Advice FIRST TIME BUYER LOOKING AT USED KIOTI

Hello everyone, as the title states I'm a first time tractor buyer. A little back story, I have 8 acres of mostly woods, some fields and a decently long driveway. My main uses would be moving dirt, logs, cutting brush, clearing snow (From Michigan), driveway maintenance and other round the yard work. I found a used Kioti LK3054, it has unknown hours. It's early 90's. It's not in the greatest shape, but also not terrible. The guy says it starts, runs, PTO functions as it should, FEL works as it should, no major leaks that he has noticed. Is there anything else that I should check and that should be a deal breaker for me? Anyone have experience with this machine? He is asking $5,000, does that sounds like a fair price? Comes with the attached brush mower also. I'll try to attach photos, it looks like it will work buy I'm a noob at this. Thank you for any advice in advance.

I have not, I'm not committed to anything yet, but driving down to look at it tomorrow morning. Just trying to gather some information and see what to look for from some more experienced people.

If you make your location part of your T-B-N PROFILE, so it shows in every post you make, there is a reasonable chance a T-B-N Contributor in your part of Michigan will inform you of a good used tractor for sale. This occurs pretty often.

How distant is the nearest Kioti dealership from you?



Be sure to view either dealer cash receipt or loan payoff confirmation. Without one or the other documents tractor may be stolen or have a lien against it.

as posted already make sure a 'paid for' receipt of some sort is available as well. These machine have no VIN and no title so a stolen tractor can be a horror story.

I would not even waste my time on that tractor for 5 grand asking price. Maybe 2500 but definitely not 5000

Really that bad? With the brush cutter and loader and everything functional? I'm not sure where you're from, but I dont have anything near me for anywhere near that price unless it's absolutely trashed. From the past 2 months of looking this has seemed to be the best deal I've come across.

I've got a few dealerships within 50 miles, not sure if they're full line or what yet.
